Hong Kong, 13 June 2021 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong in collaboration with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and in celebration of the 123rd Anniversary of Philippine Independence Day and 26th Migrant Workers Day organized a Poetry Writing Contest and On-the-Spot Drawing Contest with the theme “Bangon Manggagawa sa Panahon ng Pandemya” on Sunday, 13 June 2021 at the POLO Office.
Among the twenty-one (21) entries received by the Consulate for the poetry writing contest, three (3) outstanding poems were chosen as winners.

The on-the-spot drawing was participated by talented individuals from various Filipino Community in Hong Kong. A total of sixteen (16) participants registered for the contest. Ms. Guia Mae Ico from the Filipino Image Society Filipino organization win the grand prize followed by Ms. Noemi Manguerra of UMELA, 1st prize, and Ms. Jacklyn Evangelista of Balikatan sa Kaunlaran HK Council, 2nd prize.
